Banchory
trampoline and DMT club can look forward to watching our own club member, Kim
Beattie, in action at this year’s Trampoline and DMT world championships.
Kim has been selected as part of the British senior ladies team for double mini trampoline. Kim has been a member of the GB DMT squad since winning the British championships in 2016. Kim is also the reigning Scottish ladies champion, a title she has retained for the past 3 years.
In September this year Kim made her debut appearance at an International event when she competed for Britain in The Loule Cup in Portugal. Kim showed her true ability as she won this event in great style.
Kim is currently in Sofia with the rest of the British team, training at the competition arena ready for the event which starts for her with the qualification round on Friday. With a 30 strong group Kim will be happy just taking part but is aiming to finish as highly placed as possible. This is also a team event and the British teams will be aiming to qualify for the final.
We are all very proud of Kim and all she has achieved and wish her all the very best for this her first World championships. Kim is the first club member to qualify for such an event and we hope she is the first of many more to come. Hard work and dedication to the sport really does pay off!
